		As you look at the image to the left, the atmosphere ("a thin blue veil"), is like a blanket of air surrounding the earth. It is responsible for providing protection to the fragile organisms inhabiting its surface. It influences everything connected with our lives. Without this protective shield, there would be no oceans, lakes or rivers, clouds, but most importantly, there'd be no life. This topic will focus our upon the earth's atmosphere; it's past composition, present composition, structure, and the ozone dilemma.
