Web-based/on-line instruction can be built around communication technologies that "...exist for the exploration and expansion of intelligence, through communication and promotion of higher order thinking skills" (Dickinson, 1992).
Exploring this site (approximately 45 mb) will illustrate the vast majority of on-line instruction and interactivity can be accomplished with the use of an html editor and tools made available through the generosity of other sites, individuals, and organizations. I use these tools to show teachers, schools, school districts, and other organizations how they can use these same tools to enhance their instructional/informational process.
This site, designed for instructors and others who want to learn more about using the Internet for learning and teaching, uses no plug-ins, unless to illustrate concepts through the use of emerging technologies. I explore the use of new technologies that can assist instructors and organizations in the learning process. It provides visitors a means to see in action some of these tools. If the information located on this site can be useful in your own instructional environment, feel free to further explore them.
This site is in the process of converting to an 800 x 600 ppi resolution. So if formating doesn't appear consistent, that is the reason.
